Titanic VR: Travel under the sea and visit the wreckage of the Titanic
The Titanic is brought to life in a brand new Virtual Reality experience coming to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PSVR later this year. Explore the wreckage of the ship under the sea.
For many the Titanic was a ship doomed by fate when it hit an Iceberg and sank in 1912, however a new game is coming to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PSVR later this year that will allow players to get hands on with the wreckage in a new interactive experience.
Titanic VR managed to make waves with a Kickstarter Campaign earlier this year, raising almost $50,000 from backers looking to head under the waters in search of the wreck. Since then work has continued on the project, and the VR adventure involving the cursed ship is nearing completion. Not only is there a VR version of the game, but there will also be a regular version should people not have VR headsets on both PC and PS4. Developers are expecting the game to launch later this year.
Titanic VR lets you explore the Titanic's wreck in a simulated dive, which takes players to the bottom of the sea to find the missing ship. With this short gameplay clip you can get a look at what it's like to be submerged deep down in the ocean. In another part of the game, Titanic VR offers a historic recreation of events that took place between 14-15 April 1912 which is useful for educating people about the Titanic. You can find out more about the game on Titanic VR's official site.
