Onimusha 2 is back as a remaster - launch trailer for the re-release
Capcom has brought back Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny in a revised version. In the new launch trailer you can see how the game works, what has changed and what it's all about. Much has remained the same, just with a slightly more modern presentation.
New features in the trailer
A central element on Jubei's journey through feudal Japan is once again the collection of souls in Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny. Enemies drop different types of souls after battles: The color of the soul plays a role in this, as each color has a different use. The trailer briefly explains how the system can be used and why it is important to collect souls in good time.
The trailer also shows the remaster's improvements without exaggerating them. The textures are sharper, lighting effects have been enhanced and the character models look more defined. Nevertheless, much remains recognizably the same. The trailer also seems to want to convey exactly that: This is not a remake, but a remaster that aims to preserve the original look and feel of the game as much as possible.
The menu and controls have also been adapted for modern quality-of-life adjustments.
