Pro Evolution 2018 PC System Requirements unveiled
Konami finally reveals the PC system requirements for their upcoming football title Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, hoping to improve things on the playing field.
Last year we saw a slightly disappointing PES2017 arrive and many complained about the lack of PC options, with many even citing it as a port of an older version of the series with consoles getting a much better experience. This time around though Konami has taken on feedback (hopefully) and will be delivering a true PC gaming experience that is on par with the PS4 and Xbox One release. Powered by the Fox Engine (which has been powering the gorgeous Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear V: Ground Zeroes) the engine is capable of delivering some impressive results and a greatly optimised engine that should in theory be able to deliver a high quality experience on a variety of setups.
Sadly it appears the jump from Minimum to Recommended are not substantial which may indicate a lack of horsepower being used here. That said it's still possible that we could see settings which push the game even further and offer a true PC experience. Let's take a look at the hardware required to run the latest entry in Konami's upcoming goal scoring series.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 PC System Requirements
Minimum
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3450 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
- GPU: GeForce GTX 650 or Radeon HD 7750 2GB
- HDD: 30GB Available Hard Drive Space
- DX: DirectX 11
Recommended
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-4170 4.2 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
- HDD: 30GB Available Hard Drive Space
- DX: DirectX 11
Additionally it's been revealed that 4k and 21:9 Ultra Wide Resolutions will be supported (depending on the setup used). This makes a huge leap from the previous entry which was lacking in various areas and felt like a let down on PC. Will PES 2018 manage to do what PES 2017 could not?
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 on September 12th.
