Nacon Connect 2022: All Highlights from the Trailer Show - with RoboCop, Terminator Survival Project
At Nacon Connect 2022, French publisher Nacon delivered big time, showing new footage from upcoming games and also surprising with new announcements. Here is the best of the show.
Nacon showed so many new things at its own event Nacon Connect that pages of news could be filled with them. Not only games, but also gaming peripherals, such as the RGB illuminated NACON Pro Compact ColorLight controller with transparent housing. Certainly every single game and every device from Nacon would have deserved a report but here we will first concentrate on the games that have caused the most fuss. It's not easy to limit the selection to five trailers. For the sake of completeness and before we start with the trailers, here is the complete list of games and peripherals that were at least teased or extensively presented at the Nacon Connect:

First teaser at Nacon Connect 2022: Terminator Survival Project (working title).
A new Terminator game with an official film licence? Sounds good. And then it's also a survival game with an open-world setting in a post-apocalyptic environment - wonderful! The storyline of Terminator Survival Project, which has only been announced under this working title for the time being, is to take place within the framework of the Terminator universe established by the films. Story-wise Nacon sees Terminator Survival Project between Terminator - Judgment Day and the founding of John Connor's resistance. You fight for continued survival within a group of people who have survived a nuclear war in a mercilessly harsh world.
Nacon is not revealing much more at the moment. Apparently, the game is still in an early development phase under the umbrella of the Italian developer studio Nacon Milan. There is no release date in sight for the time being.
Finally, first gameplay scenes from RoboCop: Rogue City.
With RoboCop: Rogue City, developer Teyon is working for Nacon on another game with an 80s film licence. The game was already roughly teased last year but without gameplay scenes. The new trailer clarifies things. We see some pretty brutal firefights in the game, just as it should be. It is a RoboCop game, after all. Nacon also gives a release date for RoboCop: Rogue City: The game, in which you clean up the streets of Detroit as an iconic cop and human machine. Game is to be released for PC in June 2023.
Peter Weller, who played the cyborg cop in the 80s, is coming back to lend his voice to the virtual protagonist. Good news for fans of the films and tv series.
Zombies with hats: Survival game ParadiZe Project announced
A hat looks good on every zombie! At least in the survival game ParadiZe Project announced at Nacon Connect. Developed by Eko Software (Warhammer Chaosbane), the game is set to be available in December 2023 and drops you into an open world populated by zombies. In ParadiZe Project, you collect materials, build weapons, fight for survival - and enslave zombies to help you fight or farm. By putting a quirky device on one of these undead's head you gain control of your own zombie.
Ravenswatch is a roguelike with online co-op mode
Passtech Games, who have already made a name for themselves with games like Curse of the Dead Gods and Space Run, will deliver Ravenswatch in 2023, an action-packed, promising top-down roguelike that you will play alone or in online co-op.
Nacon promises intense real-time battles, complex gameplay elements and a high replay value. Roguelike with up to many players simultaneously in co-op? We are curious!
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum shows off in gameplay trailer
At this point we would have liked to show more of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, but the new trailer unfortunately hardly shows any gameplay. So let's mention another treasure: Gollum. Because the world has been waiting for the gameplay trailer. The action RPG The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, developed by adventure specialist Deadalic Entertainment, is scheduled for release on 1 September 2022 for PC (and consoles).
Our slightly confused protagonist from the books and films is once again after his beloved "precious". You accompany him (and his alter ego Sméagol) in this action-based game in the search for the ring. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum takes you to familiar locations in the Tolkien universe, you will meet familiar characters and find out more about his past as a maltreated slave.
