Silent Hill 2 New Story Trailer recaptures the original E3 2001 Trailer!
On October 8th 2024, publisher Konami will release the remake of a true horror classic: Silent Hill 2. The story trailer shown today looks strikingly similar to the E3 trailer from 2001 - perfect for a juxtaposition.
Konami rolls out a story trailer for the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake and it's almost nostalgic to watch. Not only because the new Silent Hill 2 looks really good with its modern graphics, but also because the video deliberately replicates parts of the trailer released at the E3 trade fair in 2001. With the original soundtrack (as a reinterpretation), the familiar characters and even the dialogue and camera angles are similar to the original. As both trailers offer a direct comparison of old versus new, we are showing you both trailers here so that you can see the modernisation leap for yourself.

Two of the main protagonists, Eddie and Mary/Maria (who knows what the lady's real name is...), can also be seen in the new trailer, although we like the modern interpretation of Mary much better, as she comes across as creepier and cooler in the new Silent Hill 2. Do you feel the same way?
