Tekken 8: Bob Returns and a New Tekken Cartoon Series Announced

The heavyweight Bob is back on the big stage! The fighter known as the “Onigiri Saviour” will be released on August 19, 2026, as the second DLC character for Tekken 8's Season Pass 3. Another treat: A new animated short series, Tekken! Cartoon, is set to premiere soon.

Bob is back—with a burger story and comeback energy

Will the arenas in Tekken 8 be able to withstand this fighting colossus? The compact powerhouse, known for his combination of speed and power, celebrated his return in style at EVO 2026 in Las Vegas. After suffering a serious injury at the hands of Bryan Fury, Bob put his rehab time to good use and, without further ado, founded a fast-food chain featuring burgers of his own creation. This was followed by his onigiri concept, which earned him the nickname “Onigiri Saviour.” As Kazuya Mishima pushes forward with his plans for world domination, Bob joins the fight on the side of good, driven by his sense of justice and his self-proclaimed “perfect body.”

Season Pass 3 holders will get Bob three days earlier, starting August 20, 2026. All other players can step into the ring starting August 25. Bob joins Kunimitsu and the upcoming DLC fighters Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma. “Tekken! Cartoon” Premieres in July

On top of that, there’s another announcement for fans of the Tekken franchise: On July 10, 2026, the animated short series Tekken! Cartoon will premiere, reimagining familiar characters like Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya, Alisa, and Kuma in a funky cartoon style. The first season consists of mini-episodes less than a minute long. Even the announcement trailer shown here is longer than that. But it’s the perfect episode length for a break between two ranked matches.
