I just saw under the system requirements-section that my graphics card, a Radeon 6870, is not listed, but the open beta ran flawlessly! Is it possible that the final game will NOT run on my system because the requirements listed are higher?

If the beta went well for you, the final release will work also. It's super super super unlikely those things have been changed in a couple of days. If you prove us wrong, we'll be there to get things straight :)
