hello, first time using the site and i downloaded the standard edition, activate product okay, however when it comes to the download i get the prompt basically telling me i need a internet connection and enough space and both of those are covered.

am i missing something? id hate to have wasted £30.

You didn't waste your money… Please check the settings of your firewall or internet security suite. Allow Uplay to have free access to the internet and things should clear up.

Does this work in NA still? I read some comments that said there were problems with it working in NA.

There have never been any issues with game or season pass. Ubisoft failed to apply Hazmat on preorders. This is not limited to the US but a general issue we are having with our customers and Ubisoft is having with Uplay, etc. You are good to go!
