I bought the standard version of the game and im planning to delete it and buy the gold edition of the game.Will my progress be saved in the gold edition?

Yes your progress will be saved but there is no need to buy the Gold edition. If you already have the main game then just get the Season Pass, which is all the Gold edition will add for you.
