I just bought the game and it is saying wrong region despite my region being the UK. Is the EU region not including UK any more?

Could you email [email protected] and show us the message you get? It looks like you aren't in the UK so that is likely why it's not working. Region of account won't matter but you will need to be in the UK itself to activate it.
