Echoes of Aincrad: System Trailer Showcases Combat, Weapons, and the Partner System
In the system trailer for Echoes of Aincrad, Bandai Namco explains everything you need to know to get started—from character creation to boss battles. It’s a great video for getting an initial overview before you buy.
If you’re wondering how the action RPG Echoes of Aincrad works in detail, the latest system trailer will set you on the path to understanding. The game takes you to the floating castle of Aincrad—a dangerous adventure where you create your own hero and take your destiny into your own hands. Release: July 10, 2026.
Your Adventure in Aincrad – Step by Step, Level by Level
When starting Echoes of Aincrad, take some time to create your avatar, as there are plenty of options. You can design your character to your own taste with a wide range of customization options. After that, Aincrad awaits you with a vast map—unlocking checkpoints is essential to gradually explore the terrain.
In combat, you’ll juggle HP, stamina, and SP bars, and use consumables when things get dicey. Just as you’d expect from an action RPG. There are six weapon types to choose from: swords, two-handed axes, daggers, rapiers, greatswords, and maces—each class with its own moveset and strengths.
For each quest, you bring along a partner who contributes their own support skills to the battle. Between battles, it’s worth heading back to the base towns, where you can upgrade your equipment, buy supplies, and improve your stats. At the end of each zone, boss enemies await to put everything you’ve learned to the test.
Pre-order Bonus and Editions
Anyone who pre-orders Echoes of Aincrad will receive the Proto-Eluzidator Series Weapon Pack—a set of six weapon types plus a shield, complete with blueprints, inspired by the prototype of the Black Swordsman’s favorite blade—regardless of which edition they choose on Gamesplanet. A nice bonus to help you get started.

The Echoes of Aincrad Deluxe Edition includes the Starter Pack, the expansion DLC (scheduled through the end of 2026), and early access to Death Match mode—where a single death wipes your progress—in addition to the main game.

The Echoes of Aincrad Ultimate Edition takes it up a notch: In addition to the Deluxe Edition features, you’ll receive the “Unanswered//butterfly” bonus content app with exclusive artwork, soundtrack, and additional content, as well as the armor pack featuring Fluttering Robes and Fluttering Boots. Content that isn’t otherwise available in the main game. Especially cool: The full-length promotional animated film “Unanswered//butterfly” is included, which tells a story separate from the main narrative that runs for approximately 120 minutes.
