What is Far Cry 5?
The Far Cry series heads to America with Far Cry 5 being set in Hope County, Montana, which is home to a doomsday cult known as The Project at Eden's Gate that a causing all kinds of trouble. It's up to you to stand up to the cult's leader Joseph Seed and his family as they terrorize the county. Far Cry 5 is an open world shooter that gives you the freedom to do things the way you want, whether it's causing mayhem or just going out for a leisurely fish with your trusty dog. Like other entries in the series you are able to take on the game either solo or with a friend in 2 player co-op. No friend to team up with? Find help with the local Guns for Hire and get them to assist your missions, with a variety of specialists including a sniper, pilots and even a flamethrower wielding pyromaniac! As you progress in the game the enemies will learn to adapt to how well you're doing and change tactics towards you in order to keep things fresh for a future encounter.
Not only will you have the game's story to enjoy, but you'll also have access to the Far Cry Arcade, which gives players another way to enjoy Far Cry 5. The Arcade will allow players to create their own custom maps and levels which can be shared with the community using the Map Editor. These levels can be tweaked the way you want, and you can expect over 9000 different objects including those from previous Ubisoft games such as Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry Primal and more! For those seeking out PVP there will also be a number of Multiplayer modes for 6v6 action to get their hands on and compete for bragging rights.
Should you seek even more from the game there will be a Season Pass that expands the game even further with crazy DLC packs that take place in Vietnam, Mars and even includes zombies!! Plus those who do get their hands on the Season Pass (or Gold Edition) will also get a free copy of Far Cry 3 (available after release).
