It's the second weekend in the build up to Christmas, that means even more deals are coming your way with our second Advent Weekend Promo! As always, our weekend deals will be around for a few days so don't miss out if you're looking to get a fantastic deal this Christmas. Unlike our Summer Sale we will not have any daily discounts, so prices will remain the same all sale long. If you want to keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook we may have treats in store this weekend!

This weekened we're playing with lightsabers, teaming up with a Bat and Lizard, helping a mouse in a spooky castle, and visiting a tropical Island with not so nice people. Let's take a look at the highlights from this week - and remember you can find even more deals on the Xmas Sale Page:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Open World / RPG / Action)

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... BioWare gave birth to one of the best Star Wars games ever created when the Action RPG Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic launched in 2003. Now almost 15 years later the game is still among one the best RPG's ever made thanks to it's great combat (though perhaps a bit dated by today's standards), fantastic story and massive open world planets to explore. One of the highlights of the game is the story, and is set 4000 years prior to any Star Wars movie. You awake aboard a ship that's under attack and with no memory of your past, during the game you'll be able to customise your character the way you want and using points you're able to specialise in various powers/abilities that shape your story. You're given plenty of freedom and are able to take multiple paths into the story, whether you decide to be good or turn to the dark side. The sequel also expands further on the game with better combat, new quests, new characters, plantets and more. Recently, KOTOR 2 was even updated on PC to support modern hardware and it looks even more great than it did back in the day. This is a must have for any Star Wars or RPG fan.

If you want to explore a galaxy with droids, creatures and lightsabers then you can get the game for 75% off! You can also get KOTOR 2 for the same price and expand the story even more. Should you pick up the sequel be sure to also get the Restoration Mod as it fixes a number of bugs, adds more content and improves the game.

Saints Row IV Game of the Century Edition (Open World / Action / Third Person Shooter)

The Saints are back, causing more chaos and doing more ridiculous things. After one of the best videogame intro sequences I have ever played, you become the President of the United States. Not long after you settle into the role alien forces attack the white house and take hostages, it's up to you to stop their leader Zinyak from destroying the world. Taking place 5 years after the events of Saints Row: The Third, instead of playing in the real world most of the time you play in a simulated Steelport where you eventually get super powers such as super jump, telekinesis, super sprint, blast or more. Each of these powers can be upgraded to do more or even add a new power type to the mix, for example you can get a freeze blast that let's you freeze enemies and then combine with a gun to crush them. While most of the game relies on powers you are given an impressive selection of guns (just like the previous) which consists of some new weapons like the Dubstep gun that forces everyone (and vehicles) to start dancing or the new Abduction gun which does just what it say.

Even though most of the game map is borrowed from Saints Row: The Third there is plenty new to the game that it doesn't matter, there is plenty of over the top humour and enjoyable side quests that you can easily forget it shares the same map. DLC is a mixed bag, some are great but there are some disappointing ones - my personal favourite is the Christmas DLC and considering the time of year this is something worth playing for Christmas (whether or not you have finished the game).

Take home the Saints this Christmas with the Saints Row IV Game of the Century Edition - featuring all the DLC content and the main game for 75% off, remember to try out that Christmas DLC too when you get a chance!

Yooka-Laylee (Action Platformer)

During the 90's one console reigned king with platformers like Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 leading the charge. PC on the other hand has not really had much, but that changed when Yooka-Laylee launched earlier this year. Created by Playtonic Games, which is made up of Ex-Rare employees who brought Banjo Kazooie to life. Like Banjo, Yooka-Laylee tells the tale of a duo teaming up in wacky platforming action and is in essence a spiritual successor to it. After being Kickstarted, the team set out to create a game that recaptured what made classic platformers such fun and on a level it does what it sets out to do. Set within 5 different levels, each one filled with various puzzles to solve, collectables to find and mini bosses to smash, all while retaining classic humour and pitched voices that some may not enjoy (thanks to a recent patch they can be sped up/skipped though).

If you're a fan of classic platformers like Banjo Kazooie or Super Mario 64 then you'll love Yooka-Laylee. You can save 50% off this weekend! The Digital Deluxe is also 50% off.

Total War: WARHAMMER (Real Time Strategy)

The team behind the Total War series decided they would take the franchise into new territory and used the Warhammer fantasy universe to create Total War: WARHAMMER. Much like other entries in the series you are given multiple factions such as the Dwarves, the Empire, the Vampire Counts and Greenskins to pick from and build up a massive army to fight with in a huge battlefield. Each one has their own unique set of units that can be used, for example Dwarfen Gyrocopters are able to fly above the fields and gain the upper hand (pun?) on unsuspecting enemies. You'll fight over a huge grand campaign map as you battle among other factions for survival. The game also includes monsters such as Dragons that can swoop in from the Sky to reign down chaos from above, or giant units that can stomp over lesser creatures.

Lead your armies to victory with Total War: WARHAMMER which is 66% off this weekend, or get one of the other games in the series for up to 78% off!

Far Cry 3 (Open World / First Person Shooter / Action)

Lastly it's time for our Hidden Gem of the day, today that belongs to the open world mayhem of Far Cry 3. The game sees a group of friends taking a holiday on an Island, unfortunately for the group it seems that the Island is home to the crazed pirate leader Vass. What makes the game come to life is the stunning open world setting, as a first person game you're free to explore the entire Island and meet wildlife, characters and hidden treasures. You can gain new skills and abilities by playing the game, upgrading your equipment by skinning various animals that lurk in the forests and rivers on the Island. As you explore more of the map you will uncover outposts that can be liberated and give you a hold over Vaas as you try to rescue your friends from his grasp. Located on the Island are "Radio Towers" which can be used to open up more of the map and give you access new weapons in the shop. Take on missions either as Stealth, or go in with guns blazing to take down a mission objective. There's also a multiplayer mode and Co-op - though these are not the main highlight of the game but offer a break from the single player.

Take a trip to the Island of Far Cry 3 for only 67% off, or you can get one of the other games in the series such as Far Cry 4 for 57% off or Far Cry Primal for 63% off.

Hidden Gem: Castle of Illusion (Platformer)

This weekend's hidden gem is the remastered version of Castle of Illusion. During the early 90's we had a number of Disney themed games based on popular characters such as Donald Duck, Rescue Rangers, Ducktales and more, but there was also a number of Mickey Mouse games - including the platforming great Castle of Illusion. You play as Mickey, and must travel to the Castle of Illusion to rescue Minnie Mouse from the evil witch Mizrabel with several levels testing out your platforming skills. The original was such as a classic and this updated version brings the game to life with new visuals, music and extras to uncover. Best of all, you can even switch to the Classic Music to get your nostalgia fix on! Like the updated Ducktales Remastered, Castle of Illusion aims to bring back the classic style while trying to inject some new life to the game - which includes adding a fully explorable Castle as you move from level to level.

Help Mickey Mouse in Castle of Illusion for 66% off this weekend!

Come back next week!

And that's the weekend picks for our Advent Weekend #2, be sure to come back next weekend for even more festive deals! Remember to visit our Xmas Sale page for even more stocking fillers!
