E3 2017 - Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Announced, Coming August 31st

Square Enix unveil Life is Strange: Before the Storm at Microsoft E3 event, prequel to Life is Strange and will release later this year as part of a 3 episode story that tells the tale before the original game.

It's been rumoured that a prequel was in production but now it's finally been unveiled as Life is Strange: Before the Storm arrives later this year in another episodic experience. This 3 part story will tell the story before the events of the original game as we once again head back to Arcadia Bay, with the game taking place three years earlier. Play as a 16 year old Chloe Price who befriends Rachel Amber, but what is she hiding? A secret will tear her world apart and it will be up to Chloe to help her friend face her demons.

Developers DONTNOD have previously confirmed last month that Life is Strange 2 would be coming, but did not specify when that would be. Though while we wait for news on that we have this brand new prequel to look forward to, which comes from the developers at Deck Nine Games.

The original Life is Strange went on to do incredibly well and as such it became one of the best episodic games to date with it's unique blend of time manipulation and choices that actually mattered in a story driven game, so let's hope the prequel (and eventual) sequel live up to the standard set by the first game.
