Capcom Video: What's new in the Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Remaster

Slicing better and with style! Capcom has released a video detailing the changes in the new Onimusha 2. The remaster will be available on May 23rd.

2002 was a good year: Spider-Man swung through the cinemas for the first time, Nokia phones were considered indestructible – and Onimusha 2 caused quite a stir on the PlayStation 2 with katanas and demon blood. The main character? None other than a digital likeness of the late actor Yusaku Matsuda – an absolute legend of Japanese cinema in the 70s and 80s.

Compared to its predecessor, Onimusha: Warlords, the second installment is like an upgrade from a folding bicycle to a Shinkansen. More scope, more action, more replay value – all thanks to a clever ally system that lets you earn friends for slashing demons. But don't worry if you missed the first installment: in Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, a new protagonist will be at your command anyway. So just put on your kimono, draw your katana, and off you go into the demon underworld!

Onimusha 2 returns as a remaster under Capcom's umbrella on May 23rd. With polished visuals, gameplay refinements, and convenience features so you no longer have to fight the camera like a final boss. But what exactly is new in the remastered version?
