The CIS version is region locked and contains ONLY russian language. The localization is awful, there are many mistakes and game loses its atmosphere. So the only way to change rus lang into eng is to buy the region free key. That's what I received as an answer from Ubisoft Support.
I'm going to use the same uplay account and I want to save my game progress.

Using the same Uplay account should work without any issues. It will unlock the RoW version with all language support (except russian, chinese, korean and japanese).

We had a similar case with a customer from Japan before, who wished to have RoW language support and he could activate on his existing account, not loosing any information.

In case – which is unlikely – things do not work out as expected. We'd issue a full refund for you.
