one of the best games i ever played. it is MASSIVE. it took me 4 months to finish it, however i played all side cases and loved it. (those who decide not to play side cases will miss a lot of fun and a lot of playing hours). i loved the characters, the story, the atmosphere, the graphics well, just everything about it. i did however have to contact Frogwares as it stated that it plays on Windows 7 when i bought it, however it did not play on mine. Frogwares sent me some additional files after which the game worked on Windows 7. they went out of their way to help me although they could just refund me. thank you Frogwares for this amazing game and for helping me to play it !

replyi would love to play it but it is not working on Windows 7 with DX11 and off line download. i bought it on GOG, have done an off line download but it did not want to launch. it kept telling me that i didn't have DX12 which indeed i didn't have. i have been hacked in the past through online playing platforms and will not risk this happening again to me. so i asked for refund. sadly. not sure why Frogwares did not think about many of us who still keep Windows 7 for many reasons.
replyAh true, yeah I guess Windows 7 is being supported less these days due to it no longer being supported by Microsoft. Maybe one day when you upgrade you can get it :)
replythere are many brand new games that play on Windows 7, which might not be supported by Microsoft, but upgrading would mean that none of my very expensive apps e.g. Photoshop, PSP, Adobe etc. would work on Win 10 and i legally paid for them. instead i would have to pay a high monthly fee to Microsoft to use something i already own. so no way this is happening ! there are still many game makers that create games that work on Windows 7, so i will pass ShH Ch 1 if i have to.
replyI've no idea where you got the idea that Photoshop and Adobe applications would not work on 10 or 11. They certainly do. You've read too much into anti-Microsoft fear mongering.
Also you can downgrade within 10 days of upgrading if it does actually break something, though I;d personally do a clean Windows install rather than downgrade myself.
replySadly that's the way of things, as new technology is available it's unrealistic to expect publishers to support older software. Especially the smaller teams who may not have the resources to dedicate to it. Eventually Windows 10 support will come to an end too and people will need to start using Windows 11.
If you bought things like Photoshop and so on, I would imagine you could continue to use them if you have the license for it? Maybe you should check with their teams. Either way the choice is yours whether or not you upgrade. We can't force you to pick that :)
